I think we just need. literally kindergarten teachers. to craft the communication for the government. I know a lot of them and they are REALLY GOOD at getting their message across.
My one caveat is that I’ve repeatedly seen references to that the Democrats had a trifecta for two years already and didn’t pass anything related to voting, Roe, let alone codifying Puerto Rico and DC as states, or gun reform or Supreme Court reform.
The problem was the 60 votes filibuster cudgel in the Senate. People don’t understand or know exists the 60 votes filibuster and how Republicans have been weaponizing their tacit minority veto for decades, and how Manchin and Sinema blocked many Democratic priorities with united Republican opposition and no path to making a 60 vote bill succeed, thanks to no path to dropping filibuster. Republicans get a twofer, Democratic voters not knowing this and being mad at “do nothing” Democrats, and blocking Democratic priorities.
With Manchin and Sinema gone, I am hopeful for actually dropping the filibuster, even if I acknowledge the ack of defending the Democratic majority there.
So many people on the Democratic team are Class President types who delight in the phrase, "show your work." After years of getting strokes for outlining their arguments in exhaustive detail for people paid to read them, they think that's how communication works.
I don't think this works. A large fraction of the country will tune out anything Democrats say as lies. I think it is instructive to look at how the master (FDR) accomplished this objective. Like Obama he was elected in a time of crisis. Unlike Obama he did not get "shellacked" two years later. That was key, because had Obama's fate happened to him there would be no New Deal, no postwar economic miracle.
Messaging v. deliverables is a false dichotomy. The critical factor is organization, which both the institutional party and activist groups neglected for decades. Do that right, and the messaging and policies will emerge.

"Even better, this template is more effective when it is truthful."
As long as everybody keeps this in mind. Too many people passing out similar advice leave it out, but it's really important.

From your lips to God’s ear, sir
Why are Republicans so evil?
I wish I knew the answer to that question. I can tell you though that Putin loves using them to undermine democracy in the US and other countries.
Jeez, Oliver, it looks like you ran that photo through AI and asked for a “Margaret Keane/Big Eyes” style... 😛😛

YaYa. Sure, you make great points as always but I’m really just here for the KalEl content
Look, eyeballs are eyeballs. It all counts.
That thing that you don't like? Genocide? Biden did that.
