I'm so glad the Democrats finally rejected the "Iowa and NH go first" tradition. 2024 Republicans have essentially chosen their nominee after hearing only from States that are 89.8% and 92.6% White, with Economies that are just as unrepresentative of the rest of the country.
Good riddance to that tradition, and if the Republicans want to keep it in the long run, it's only going to hurt them.
I know a really elderly bunny that also has a ramp. :) When I was a kid, I misheard "Hampshire" as "Hamster" and thought the place was run by hamsters. When I got a little older, and actually visited, there were no hamsters. There was A LOT of seafood, YUK!
So I'm imaging all the fish and crustaceans going to the ballot box to vote, dressed like people from the '40s and '50s.
Well said! The amount of coverage I seen today, despite my best effort not to see it around Dixville and crap has just blown my mind. How is it a thing?
Wouldn’t a much better thing be to select samples of Americans, and have neutralized & moderated, hosted discussions with them about what they want to see in this nation versus watching wannabes eat fried butter with a few octogenarians....
I completely agree, especially about the monochromatic/nostalgia-for-worse-times sub-text (maybe not so sub-textual, come to think of it). And yes, I'm also a sucker for George Bailey, burgers, and baseball (though my home team, the White Sox, makes that harder every year.
I really think primaries should be all on the same day, just like election day is, and then to award delegates proportionally. 🤷🏼♀️ Fully agree doing things this way is terrible.
I don't like that either because it favors candidates with a large war chest. Clinton banked on a knockout punch on Super Tuesday in 2008 but Obama was built for the marathon and it made him a better candidate.
So basically the way we do primaries is broken either way. We need to do them better and actually doing it better is difficult within our current parameters. Fun!

Kal-El is NOT spoiled! He’s well cared for 😃.

I’m liking Kal-El’s ramp. Did Kal-El learn to use it without instruction?
