The GOP does not support parents because they offer thoughtless prayers to grieving parents while claiming they support parents rights.

I guess they have a right to grieve.

Because it’s a way to control women. It has nothing to to with helping babies.

Politicians who pose with children carrying AR-15s have internalized the belief that this type of performative “self-sufficient warrior” identity IS what appeals to their voters, who ARE the American people (at least a significant portion of Americans, who also entertain this view of themselves). They aim to present as strong individuals, banded together to protect home and hearth from horrifying hordes of invaders. And who are the invaders? LGBTQ folks and their allies, Black & brown people. Atheists. Transgendered people. And all the weak, bleeding heart leftists, who are ruining our country with their despicable, immoral, godless agenda.

Not to mention Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders rolling back child labor laws. Which of course will just be the start. These people really are despicable.

Biden is constrained in his choices for immigration, with no increase in funding or fixes for the immigration system in place. That isn’t an excuse, it’s reality.

It’s happening for the same reason that voting rights, abortion, gun control, the judicial system, adding DC and Puerto Rico as states, etc etc still hasn’t happened, because Democrats are being forced to fix all these on their own due to the universal Republican no to all of these. And Democrats are just barely short on their own.

Sinema needs to be replaced and Manchin needs to be retained despite his seriously misplaced faith in keeping the filibuster and seemingly not understanding he is being used to keep the cudgel going. Because he is likely to be the only possible Democratic Senator to be elected in West Virginia at this point. And he at least will help Democrats to hold that majority.

We need both a Democratic majority in the Senate and majority of votes to say yes, whether it’s the Senators themselves or the Senators plus the Vice President. Then we can abolish the filibuster, whether it’s issue by issue or in its entirety.

That 60 vote margin in the Senate being required for all issues except the few that have already been abolished, like judges, and reconciliation bills, is seriously harming the United States.
