They cannot resist the opportunity to put lipstick on a pig, never mind that it amounts to dropping their reputation into the manure of the sty.

Yeah, you're right!

I'm over 70, I could go on, and on, about this crap.

I saw the Stahl interview yesterday. I was cooking dinner at the same time, paying more attention to my pot than Green. But the whole spectacle was bizarre. Two women sitting opposite each other having a conversation as if everything were pretty normal. IT FECKING ISN’T! But I would never never know that from looking at the TV screen.

I made a point to myself not to tune in for that nonsense.

Stahl and a whole load more should call it a day.

Every one of these birds have been inside the bubble forever and know the score but just can’t speak the truth. I just read a nonsense piece in the Boston Globe about “ objective journalism” and it’s proponents.

Not for me nor has it ever been. I used to attend meetings every night at Boards & Councils. The accounts the next day in the paper were lacking any of the “ flavor” from the night before. I asked a kid reporter in Newburyport late one night “ are you going to include that exchange?

“No”

“ How come”

“ No one cares”

We are about to be treated to another white Bronco moment with Trump's movements pre- and post-arraignment. Also, does Our Liberal Media understand the *they* control whether Trump's Tuesday night rant is an "address to the nation?"

Did no one else notice how old and out of it Leslie Stahl has become. The sharp, tenacious interviewer we remember from 25 years ago simply isn't there any more. She seemed to have great difficulty even understanding what MTG was babbling about much less responding to it. 60 Minutes' target audience must mostly be 75 or older, and that audience likes to see the same familiar correspondents they saw 40 years ago.

Well now, I wouldn't say Stahl didn't offer any pushback on Marge's unhinged claims, word on social media is that Leslie may have rolled her eyes!

The 60 Minutes interview went just as I expected it would; America's Access Journalism Boi, Chuck Todd, probably thinks Leslie was a bit too pushy.

For a contrast, it's not a fringe, unheard opinion in the British press that Tony Blair and GW Bush are "war criminals", which is not just a random insult, it's based on the same violation of the UN Charter (II.4) against use of force against UN member states that the US used to call for the Security Council to approve the 1990 "UN police action" to reverse the invasion of Kuwait.

The position that they violated the same prohibition of "aggressive war", which was prosecuted at Nuremberg ahead of the Holocaust, as being the worse crime, may be disputed there, but at least the opinion is heard.

The same newspapers that hire Trump apologists that, say, parse the law to defend the Muslim ban as being SCOTUS-legal, won't hire anybody who would raise the "war criminal" term for Bush and Blair.

Or hire anybody who would issue full-throated defenses of the Sanders wing, every week. Bernie and Warren get one guest op-ed per year, mustn't waste it.

When I was on Twitter I would often alert folks about spelling via dm.

If the spelling mattered to the tale.
